POSITION SUMMARY:

Museum Educators provide crucial support for the mission of EarlyWorks Children’s Museum! Main responsibilities include leading education field trips and interacting with guests and exhibits on the museum floor. Other responsibilities include assisting the front desk and gift shop when needed. Applicants should be comfortable interacting with large groups and demonstrating educational lessons. Museum Educators should have a passion for working with children and teaching through creative play.

SCHEDULE:

·       Part-time: around 20 hours a week. Must be available to work some weekends.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain a safe, clean, and museum experience for all guests
• Greet and interact guests in a friendly and professional manner
• Lead educational groups including school field trips
• Help prepare materials for special events, museum activities/crafts, and field trips
• Help daily operations of the Gift Shop and Ticket Desk
• Assist in helping the museum team reach its goals
